Have you ever been to one of these erotic conventions where all manner of things are on sale and everyone claims to be breaking taboos? I haven’t yet, but I am thinking about taking a look when one comes up in Bremen or some other city nearby in the future. I’m not sure what to expect, although I’ve heard plenty of tales.

I daresay the main attractions will be easy enough to find, they can be quite prominent on people ‘in the business’. After all, the natural assets are what sell things, be they sex toys or tractors. And I am sure there will be a few other attractions there too.
Not just the people, although they always interest me. There may well be a few free offers, something to whet our appetites, to get us in the mood, to ease the pain of paying for things.

Not that I am expecting all that many free things, but a glass of wine or, as is common in Germany, a glass of sekt makes the search much easier! Nothing like a little alcohol to loosen up the personal shyness. It works at parties, so why not at a convention?

And most of these things are aimed, really, at women and not men. Men seem to have their own needs which don’t revolve around the use of toys or fancy clothing. Even the biggest supplier of sex toys in Germany, Beate Uhse, has come to appreciate their own marketplace. They recently decided to move away from supplying men and concentrate on their core niche, women. Which makes good business sense to me!

But, of course, men do buy for their partners, and they do live in the same sort of fantasy world when it comes to sex. Fine, from the other side and mostly with someone. Women can get along so well without a man and, I know from experience, a man isn’t absolutely necessary to have a wonderful time!
